Trump will be offered a poison pill of a debate. CNN must run it and write the questions. The moderators will include staff from CNN and Chris Wallace. Trump will not get the questions ahead of time, knowing they will be leaked to Biden. Trump will be given only 30 seconds to refute any question.
If Trump refuses that format, the narrative will be TRUMP is the one scared of a debate.

I would be careful to not forget to look to the right side of the aisle in your conjectures. There’s enough ‘never trumpers’ that could flip to the D side of things.
This would make the Democrats potentially appear more moderate and appealing to the middle.
Romney seems to come to mind as a bait and switch.
But I have been thinking about how they put Hillary up to run and she was simply to feeble to manage a campaign. Now Biden who is obviously unfit. That’s two candidates for President that who are physically unfit. It raises the question as to what they think they are doing? There appears to be no depth to the party anymore.

Joe Biden has always been a sacrificial lamb in an election the Democrats know they can’t win.
They knew that anyone they nominated would become political roadkill, so they nominated someone who they know will be totally out of the picture by 2024 anyway - Joe Biden.
Hell, I don’t even think anyone wants to be his running mate - for the same reason. Whoever they pick for a running mate will be roadkill, just like Biden will be roadkill.
They are grooming some young contenders for 2024, and they don’t want any of them damaged by a Trump beat down.
