A lot of Dems, like the Bernie-bots, will be disappointed, maybe even angry at the undemocratic way of choosing a nominee, but when has anyone in the party listened to the people, even their own?
You are right. If Biden drops out, Bernie is the only option for the Democrats. The Bernie bots would never vote for any Democrat if he gets screwed over again.
I have a hard time with this speedy worsening. It’s not typical of Alzheimers to decline that fast. What is wrong with him, or are they playing up his many slip ups? I would never deny there is something wrong, but my extensive experience up close with typical dementia is that you don’t see dramatic worsening over a few months. Unless he has something other than typical alzheimers.
I know it’s not easy but I truly believe God will bless you and your wife for taking care of her.

Bring up the history of the democrat party that proves exactly how racist they are. Pound it at every level at every moment.

The Democratic elite that backed Hillary and frustrated Sanders in the 2016 election could not accept Sanders in 2020, they tried everything to get rid of Sanders. Finally, they out maneuvered him.
They carefully choose to back Joe, because they knew he would play ball with the partly elite. They didn’t understand how far gone he was mentally and not they have to live with the deal they made with the devil.
No one who has a brain and listens to Joe for any length of time will believe he is capable of taking a call at 2 AM in the morning when national security is on the line.
Stress can accelerate Alzheimer’s and there are very few more stressful situations than running a Presidential campaign. Constant pressure and you’re short on sleep and you may not be eating right.
According to Real Clear Politics, on July 31st Biden had a 93.5% chance of being the Democratic Party nominee. On August 1st that crashed to 69.8% (after being 85%+ since March 3rd). Kamala Harris is now at 17.9%, Hillary at 17.7%, and Obama at 14.7%.
The dems are stuck and it is of their own making. They organized different candidates staying the race or withdrawing to make it easier for Biden to win some of the primaries and not a whimper out of Bernie. Bernie ran just to run - to give him something to do. I don't think Bernie ever wanted the nomination but he welcomed the greater name recognition and everything that goes with that. Besides there are legion of Trump haters that would vote for anyone regardless, so the dems and the press will have to cover up for Biden and there will be no debates and covid is a convenient excuse.
It is too early to say that, but the death of King lead to riots across the US, at least one city that still bears the scars. Did the riots in 1968, after King’s death, help elect Nixon? There are more things I could say, but my brain is tired.
He was never quite well; after all, he’s a Democrat! That said, the social isolation from the coronavirus lockdown probably caused significant loss of mental faculties through prolonged lack of use of such faculties. This problem isn’t unique to Joe Biden; I expect that at some time in the future, when we finally pay attention to all the suicides, drug overdoses, pornography binges, alcohol poisonings, and other unusual morbidities and mortality of the year beyond the Wuhan coronavirus and the direct effects of violent crime, then we will notice the unusual acceleration of senility in millions of elder Americans.
That made sense 250 years ago, but I don't think it does in today's world, but it would take a constitutional amendment and it will never happen.

The numbers guys will assess who has a reasonable shot at winning, and they will have to fight it out in the backroom with the Party Bosses and major donors.
