Re: Sharon Krebs

She was involved with the Yippies (The Youth International Party) in the late sixties. She went on to become active in the guerilla-theater feminist group W.I.T.C.H. (Women’s International Terrorist Conspiracy from Hell), which combined ‘theatricality, humour, and activism.’

She was also involved with FUNY - very leftist Free University of NY.

THAT is the point of this thread and all the memes I create on FB.

I'm 72 and was part of, or present at .... a LOT of recent American history many have never been exposed to.

I was only 4 at the time, but all I can remember is how they used dozens of busses to enclose the center to create a wall to keep the crazed rioters out.

More background;.

https://www.pbs.org/independentlens/weatherunderground/movement.html

” Initially formed as a splinter group which believed that peaceful protests were ineffective, the Weathermen were widely criticized for their use of violence as a means of social and political change. Some accused the group of terrorism, while others accused it of giving all activists, both militant and more mainstream, a bad name.

But for the Weathermen, violent action was nothing short of necessary in a time of crisis, a last-ditch effort to grab the country’s attention. And grab attention they did—in March 1970, just days after Bernardine Dohrn publicly announced a “declaration of war.” When an accidentally detonated bomb killed three Weathermen in the basement of a Manhattan townhouse, the group suddenly became the target of an FBI manhunt, and members were forced to go into hiding. The bomb had been intended to be set off at a dance at a local Army base.”

SDS included William Ayers, who sponsored our last “President” in his run for office, and John Fak’in Kerry, who recieved 3 splinter wounds (one in the butt) and conducted a Christmas time Brown Pants and water secret patrol on the upper Mekong river at the direction of then President Elect Nixon (Sez he in his book.)

From the pic.posted and the other verbal description at tha DNC there may have been two pigshead on a platter incidents. The yippies probably thought that was a real constructive, positive, helpful way to fix the world.

Yeah. Forty years on, we probably get a vegan non-binary Code Pink type presenting Mike Pence with a head of lettuce.

I was on the fringe of SDS ... I loved drugs and sex too much to allow politics to overtake my humanity.

Yeah well ... let's not over analyze what I'm trying to do.

IMO, the Viet Nam war was a way to kill off the threatening, public school educated young man that could think and was putting together the hustle that the "establishment" was putting together.

Sony and Cher sang; " .. 'lectricly they keep a baseball score ", and we learned later in life how true that was.

They use numbers yet today to accomplish the same thing ..... fear.

'Went to a SHEETZ today for gasoline using my debit card with $95 dollars left in it (I have NEVER gotten more than $32 worth of gas in my LIFE), and it was declined for insufficient funds.... (I drove away)

This happened to me last week when I had more on the account and I pumped no problem.

When I got home and checked my bank balance I saw an even $100 was on hold ... I called the bank and they explained it was SHEETZ and the balance (gas was $28) would be refunded in three days !

WHY is SHEETZ overcharging a debit card ?

I'm sure if I asked, I'd get an answer like, "To protect us from getting ripped off" (or some such nonsense I won't bother to go into to explain)

The subliminal message for the superficial thinkers is, "SHEETZ is afraid and is protecting itself"

Does anyone really believe that.

Covid and SHEETZ (among a ton pf others .... ALL designed to do ONE thing .... make ME fearful.
