For the guy breaking the window with the tire iron, it could be. Especially if the driver believes their life is in danger due to not being able to flee the situation and the tire iron breaks through the window.

There's lots of hyperbole floating around due to these riots, but events like that are going to get rioters shot as people attempt to defend themselves from what they perceive as imminent serious injury or death. It's only a matter of time, as rioters become more emboldened by a lack of action by law enforcement.

Tip I remember hearing from a Taxi Driver.

Always stop in traffic with a car length in front of Your car and as much as possible nothing blocking Your car. That could include the option of the Sidewalk or the opposing lane to leave an escape route if You need to bail out.

The cars can be fixed or replaced much easier than People can.

And stay Armed all the time these days, ready to click off a safety and go "Hot".(My rule not the Taxi Drivers)
