Federal troops are not required. During the LA riots, the federal troops were not called in until the CA Guard (6K troops) were already on the ground, and had reduced crime by 70%.
President Trump has offered help numerous times, only to be met with derision by the officials responsible for the city.
These are the officials the people voted for.
And what the likely reason is for them NOT asking for help, and police being told to stand down, is that they want one or more persons TO BE KILLED, by military sent by Trump, against the wishes of the Democrat mayor and governor, so they can call Trump a dictator and have a Kent State incident.
These Democrats WANT PEOPLE TO BE KILLED, just to make a political point.
