Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, served up harsh criticism of Americans on Thursday, asserting that the country suffers from what he described as an “anti-science bias” problem.
“One of the problems we face in the United States is that unfortunately, there is a combination of an anti-science bias that people are — for reasons that sometimes are, you know, inconceivable and not understandable — they just don’t believe science and they don’t believe authority,” Fauci told the Learning Curve podcast, which is produced by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
“So when they see someone up in the White House, which has an air of authority to it, who’s talking about science, that there are some people who just don’t believe that — and that’s unfortunate because, you know, science is truth,” Fauci continued, referring to the White House coronavirus task force’s once-daily briefings....

Nobody BELIEVES in Science. Science isn’t a belief and you’d think such a self-professed moron would understand that.

I think the statement about science being truth is absolutely disqualifying. I am sure some of our scientist fearpers like exdemom will take umbrage to the following but I do speak as a scientist
The scientific methodology consists of getting to the truth but science itself is not the truth. It is a model aimed at finding the truth. The truth is itself the truth. We continually refine our theories to refine our understanding.
I remember the words of a great chemistry professor. He walked in the lecture hall on the first day is physical chemistry, dropped the text book on his lectern and said “ladies and gentlemen, remember everything in this book and this course is an educated guess. With that let’s begin”
That has ALWAYS stuck with me. He taught me more about science than any other instructor because he taught us to continually question theories and refine our understanding and always reminded us that at any moment something could come along that would render our paradigm as useless.
Good lesson for Fauci.

I don't doubt you. I think he's a political hack. But I'd like evidence as proof when I make the case for his uselessness.
Good for doctors but they'll kill mere peons. At least until the doctors, nurses, government officials, and other important people have all the masks they want. Then suddenly they become good for you peons. Yeah, that's real science.
