“Trump has played the media like a puppet.”
He indeed has, in part, because, for hate’s sake, they claim absolutely everything he says and does is bad and wrong. That gives him considerable power to manipulate them into absolutely ludicrous positions.
They could escape this conundrum if they attempted simply to report the news. But they want their business to be making opinions, ones that conform to their own.
