Sounds like he’s jealous that they don’t have a subway system (to speak of) or cruise ships to get his people infected, so cooling centers (with trapped, recirculating, air) will have to do.
This thought has occurred to me too.
Californians do not know hot.
Wait until summer comes to places like Virginia or NYC and the people in those states can’t go to Virginia Beach or Jones Beach.
(But I’m sure those who have summer homes on The Hamptons will be able to go to the beach).
And, of course, there are indoor recreation centers in Virginia and NYC that have air conditioning.
I’ve heard that Alcoholics Anonymous meetings have been drawing large crowds since the lockdowns went into effect.
