Do you personally know anyone who has died of COVID? Seeking real first hand info. Not my boss' cousin or wife's friend's sister anecdotal info.
Died? No. And no one hospitalized
However, we believe we had it in January - we got sick about a week after a trip to Chinatown. Symptoms match, sickest we have ever been, tested negative for flu. Diagnosed with “Unknown severe respiratory virus” and given Zpac, steroid inhaler and albuterol for for our nebulizer so it didn’t become viral pneumonia. And that was from 3 different doctors. Several of our friends at church and kids in DDs school were also out sick with the same thing.
nope
My wifes friends daughters husband was diagnosed with it. He works in the county jail. Hes fine.
Thats it.
“Yes my best friends uncle. Chris C. in NC.
His wife with dementia is left with no caregiver. She is also positive and no nursing home will take her.
Why are you asking this?”
Apparently to give the flubros another chance to do a victory lap since no friend or family member of theirs died.
The flubros are not great Americans, let’s leave it at that.
By the way, how many of the just over 40,000 people who died in car accidents last year did you know?
No. I work in a facility with over 3k people. In an org with 10k+. No deaths. 3 deaths in the area I live in with about 800k+ people.
Died, no. My wife’s best friend’s husband had it. Got it from one of his big tech company coworkers. Early 40’s. Healthy guy - thin and he runs a lot. Got pretty sick but no hospitalization and he is apparently OK now. His wife had one night of headaches - but no other symptoms. Four year old daughter had no symptoms at all.
Nope. Don’t even know anyone with a confirmed case.
yes. and 6 others that tested pos and were sick, all down NYC & LI
My niece’s mother-in-law has it. She’s in her 80s, not in good health and in a nursing facility. Three strikes right there.
The only other person I know of, who died from it, was my friend’s mother. She was in her 90s, in a nursing facility, and in Italy. Again, three strikes against her.
Otherwise, we’ve been lucky so far. Especially considering we have three family members in healthcare!

No, but I was told there were 3 employees out of 15K worldwide that had the commie-cough,, and told they have since recovered..
I believe the hippa laws put a stop to that kind of reporting by companies..
Yup=- also know someone who has it- very sick- praying they get better-
Who died, no.
Got it and is currently quarantined, yes.
Yes. Wife’s aunt has it now. Wife’s aunt’s sister died of it last week.
I’m confident very few flubros are stupid enough to think no one has actually died of it.
But the “do you know anyone” question is idiotic, yes.
Yes I do.

Zero for me.
Don’t know anyone who died of suicide or gunshots either, but people did.
Yes. He was elderly, so pretty much the prime target for this virus. Still not easy for his children. I know a couple people who are recovering, including my 28YO nephew, and he had a rough 10 days or so but didn’t require hospitalization. His only remaining symptom is loss of taste and smell.
I have a couple friends who have lost family members including another parent and an aunt, but didn’t know those people personally.
