Okay, I've had it with someone helping themselves in my computers.. in broad daylight. i have Norton on all and the turn it off. I just did a Windows reset on one.. and unplugged my computers till I can fix the way they get in.
I am angry and fed up with their bold thievery. Anyone have a really good solution?
Thank you.
I'm talking about a separate firewall--before traffic even gets to your computer. Not the firewall on the computer itself.
Chromecast via a Chromebook eliminates all the approved and unapproved on line thieves.
Best is MacOS
Norton is malware.
firewall in router but has not stopped it
windows ping
Then I would take a second look at the firewall settings.
i had a chromebook and returned it.. it isnt a computer and i wanted a small computer
im on my phone and cannot type on tiny keyboard
i have a tech/engineer son.. he has 2 sons and irons in the fire.. nothing much open.. nothing normal. and my computers are unplugged for safety..
will any program stop them?
We use Malwarebytes it has worked well for us, but Im no expert in this area.
You might start with Gibson Research’s ShieldsUp! to see if it gives any warnings.
I've been using the basic Windows Defender for a number of years and haven't had any issues.
No matter what defenses are being used, the only sure way to insure against hacking is to be totally stand-alone with zero connectivity and single-user access to the device....when defenses are being used, one has to cooperate by not getting complacent and totally trusting the defenses...
Webroot and their techs rock.
i have it and ran it.
they dont leave a virus.. they round up all data and folders and take it.. took all my sons songs.. all were copyrighted and if i ever see any out there ..i have a lawyer son and will go after them.
i back up most of my stuff, but they are thieves and have no right in my home.
I work for Microsoft in Mumbai, I could be tons more helpful if you gave me your IP address.
Get a backup of your data.
Do a clean load of windows.
Get diskimaging software such as Clonezilla. Backup your clean system to an external disk.
Make sure Windows Defender and Firewall are enabled.
Only go to reputable websites and don’t open strange emails.
Good Luck!
