And to Pence’s credit, he did not take the bait. Instead, he completely ignored the rude, mean-spirited ‘gotcha’ question and, like Trump so often does, used it to make a powerful statement about the situation.

Well they sure have a lot of experience dealing with the braindead hate filled media.

True, but he shouldn't have responded at all. The correct way to deal with vicious, dishonest questions is to ignore them and point to the next questioner. The president and his team should have the discipline to do this every single time. They should also adopt a three strikes policy: any "journalist" who asks three questions that are too objectionable to answer is never called on again. Never. Don't bother to announce it; just do it.

That’s the narrative being pushed by the DNC through their flying monkeys

No longer giving the media the benefit of the doubt. They clearly, intentionally, are crafting an argument that you NEVER balance economics/jobs with public health responses. So unless you shut the whole country down within 2 weeks of hearing about a Chinese virus, you are responsible for every death.

Pence is definitely up to the task. He has matured and strengthened under the nonstop attacks from the left.

Precisely demonstartes why I will not support Pence in the 2024 nomination-for-candidate process...

He should have found a way to nicely and quietly cut off the a_hole's balls... More political-speak accomplishes nothing...
