In addition to the Chinese, the WHO amplified those lies with official “scientific” pronouncements. The WHO cannot be trusted, as evidenced by this very pandemic, but while it was considered less than gold standard when the pandemic began, it was (and is) still an “officially trusted” arm of the UN.

The author/speaker is using hindsight to indict the President for trusting the WHO, which is supposed to be a truth source for the world. That they uncritically parroted Chinese propaganda is clear, but to have discounted their noisy utterances prior to solid evidence of their malfeasance would have been a political wound of great magnitude.

“Political” in this sense is not the ongoing DC follies type of garbage - he would credibly (though falsely) be accused of undermining the very organizations that are purportedly protecting us, and the US NIH and CDC would have gone into full revolt, undermining confidence in the President until he couldn’t even reach out past the idiots in the media to the people.

The NIH and CDC still have not addressed the manifest failure of the WHO in this case. I am unsure they ever will, at least officially. Both NIH and CDC are doubtlessly rife with globalism - the very kind that seeded this pandemic in the first place.
