May be. Or maybe you've simply learned by repeatedly cutting sleep short, to wake up without getting enough sleep first (job, solving problems or whatever). That can be unlearned by trying laying down whenever tired, until sleep starts happening and becomes easier. It can take many tries and some time.

Can you do intense exercise without any medical risk from it? I've found many times, that it will cause deep sleep sooner or later.

Or try meditating eastern style. Practice thinking about absolutely nothing while laying down. Sometimes, I think too much and need to turn it off.

Sounds a lot like what I’ve had (except the runs). Right now I can’t get to sleep (12:49 am PDT). Been trying for an hour and gave up.

Did do a nice hike in the ills today. Gorgeous weather (high 60s). 4 miles and an 800 foot climb up to “Rhus Ridge.” Place used to be empty, but not the past couple weeks.

Even that wasn’t enough to get me to sleep. Lots of family stress, as I mentioned.

And if only one of these folks has COVID-19, it will run rampant in the close confines of their hole. Should be an interesting experiment on how accurate tests are in catching the disease when the virus is in its latent stage.

I’m a hard core night person and if I don’t have to get up early, my sleep cycle reverts to something like that. For me though, it’s up at 10 AM and to bed at 2-3 AM.

Still 8 hours, just skewed.

We’ve been getting outdoors during the day for walks

A few of us seniors have been going to the local ball diamond to hit softballs. Maybe 10 of us will be out there this morning but as the mandatory stay inside order continues, I'm fully expecting the cops to drop by and kick us out. I don't know how we are going to react if that happens.......

I know I will be pissed off and will likely try to argue with them which may not turn out well........
