I have an RO filter with an alkaline cartridge. Seems to work pretty well, and it’s much cheaper overall. If we need bottled water, I prefer the 2000 gallon size, but we would probably head to the hills if if got that bad.
I have found “Golden Hour” (7-9 Tuesday, Thursday at Safeway and 7-8 on
M,W,F at Kroger/King Sooners) you can get anything.
TP, paper towels, beef, Pinesol. Everything.
And there always seems to be plenty left after it ends, though I am sure they sell out of some items soon thereafter.
I did have to settle for AngelSoft TP instead of Charmin once.
Oh, I remember the Monty Python “Spam” skit.
And I remember living in Hawaii when most menus had Spam something on them. Spam pizzas were popular.

It’s the little things in life, who in the hell ever thought we could be so excited over a package of TP or paper towels!!
I’ve been searching online and found some on the Staples and Home Depot sites.

I was at Costco on Monday at around 2:30pm. They had toilet paper. I saw people with carts of 30 packs, several had two packs or a total of 60 rolls!!
Yep - it took Walmart a bit to catch on - and the closest one to us is not the best managed one I’ve seen so when I can, I use the Neighborhood one that’s a half mile further out and now will pay some “Thank You” visits to Rouses as they can be counted on to have some items Walmart is out of.
I think it’s “Fiora” or something like that - I think Walmart usually carries it but it ain’t one of the “premium” brands we flush down the toilet...
I’m in the Central Valley California. I haven’t seen any toilet paper or paper towels in at least 3 weeks here. Any kind of sanitizer either. The grocery stores seem to be getting their stores of hard goods back up. I actually bought beans, sugar, and flour yesterday. But any sanitizer, tp, or paper towels are still non existent.
The lavender scented Fiora is my favorite tp. Aldi’s here carries it for the cheapest I’ve seen. $4.39 a 12 pack. Every once in awhile I do a paper run to Aldi’s. Fill up my car. 20 packs of the double roll 12 packs and bunches of paper towels. I had just done my run before this hit.
Thanks for the info...we don’t have an Aldi’s (that I’m aware of ) down here, but perhaps a Big Lots or Ollie’s would be similar.
