Sunday on CNN’s "State of the Union," Jake Tapper asked NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio if his comments telling people to go about their normal lives during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic could have contributed to the massive outbreak in New York.

"Jake, we should not be focusing, in my view, on anything looking back," he replied. "This is just about how we save lives going forward... This was a very different world just a short time ago."

"Mr. Mayor, weren’t your actions in this outbreak also far, far behind the curve?" Tapper stated.

"I think the big historical point here that will be looked back on is if this country had the testing we needed this could have been a very different reality," de Blasio said.

Secy of State Mike Pompeo Says He Has List; American Pols Named as 'Friendly' by Communist China

Pompeo said he had received an earlier invitation from a former governor to attend a networking event that promised great "deal-making" opportunities with the Chinese government.

This networking event was run by "The Chinese People's Association for Friendship in Foreign Countries," said Pompeo.

But what the US participants might not have known is that "the group is the public face of the Chinese Communist party's official foreign influence agency, the United Front Work Department." Pompeo knew of this connection from his former position at the CIA.

He questioned the governors on how many of them knew that this group was a Communist-front group.

"What if you made a "new friend" at the China networking event?" he asked. "What if your 'new friend' offered to invest big money in your state, perhaps in your pension fund, an industry sensitive to our national security?"

And then Pompeo dropped a huge bomb on the crowd.

"These aren't hypotheticals. Last year a Chinese government-backed think tank in Beijing produced a report that assessed all fifty of America's governors on their attitudes toward China. They labeled each pol friendly, hardline, or ambiguous."

Pompeo continued, "I'll let you decide where you think you belong, someone in China already has. Many of you, indeed, in that report, are referenced by name."

Trump is handling cuomo very well. Little by little the NYC corruption is being exposed. When it appears that Trump is caving to cuomo, it's actually Trump showing how much he cares for us.

Is there some sort of international law, perhaps through the U.N., that require reporting of a wide virus or some such to the rest of the world?

When he threw his hat into the 2020 ring, Biden came out swinging.

He mocked President Donald Trump’s position on China at a campaign rally.

BIDEN: “China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man...they can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the east, I mean in the west.” Biden continued “they can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what, they’re not, they’re not competition for us.” Biden’s suck-up to Communist Chinese leaders was outrageous: “Chinese leaders are good folks.”

Yet, we know those same Chinese leaders are committing crimes against humanity. Locking up 1.1, maybe 3 million Uighurs, in concentration camp-like facilities where a not insubstantial number of them are dying.

Doesn’t mean he’s not a threat, doesn’t mean they’re not a threat.”

China is supposed to report findings to WHO and the Chinese CDC. There are many laws that obligate them to do this... as they are members of many international organizations.

Beyond legal obligations, most western nations share data, have conferences, and interact as professionals in a free speech environment where these sorts of things often get fleshed out.

In short, China is the dirt bag in this case. Look, I am no De Blasio fan (he definitely said some stupid stuff), but this is ultimately China’s mess.

Today, when COMFORT+ was arriving, a reporter asked cuomo about what Pres. Trump said yesterday about the 300k masks. Cuomo sidestepped and kept on talking about the apex. apex. apex. apex. He didn't deny NYC had stolen 300k masks or that he was being falsely accused. He's admitting he's hoarding instead of sharing the masks with hospitals who truly need them.

cuomo somewhere somehow is making money off of the masks.

I saw Trump's presser yesterday, he jumped right on top of that one titbit from one of the manufacturer CEO's remark.

The normal supply of 10 k mask to ONE NY hospital ballooning to 300 k (a week? a month? I forgot). But Trump was on top of things, he's going to send people to investigate.

Good for him, he has the welfare of the whole nation in mind. At times like this, he's not playing any games.
