The mortality rate for the coronavirus in the US continues to fall as more and more Americans are able to be tested.

12 days ago the US coronavirus mortality rate was 4.06 Today the mortality rate is down to 1.25%!

4.06% March 8 (22 deaths of 541 cases) 3.69% March 9 (26 of 704) 3.01% March 10 (30 of 994) 2.95% March 11 (38 of 1,295) 2.52% March 12 (42 of 1,695) 2.27% March 13 (49 of 2,247) 1.93% March 14 (57 of 2,954) 1.84% March 15 (68 of 3,680) 1.6% March 17 (116 of 7,301) 1.4% March 19 (161 of 11,329) 1.25% March 20 (237 of 18,845)

Yossi Getetner posted a list earlier in the week. Thanks to the fraudulent numbers by the WHO the global economies are in a meltdown.

I refuse to live my life in a bubble like you. I will take reasonable precautions like washing my hands, maintaining a safe distance, etc., but scrubbing cans and then throwing my clothes in the laundry afterward like everything is radioactive is definitely cray-cray. Besides, God is in charge of when I leave this earth.

[Based on professional experience, I can assure you that the occupancy rate at 60%’ish is a joke. Any hospital that was 35% empty would be out of business.]

Thanks for the clarification. What number would you use?

Sounds like a good day. Let’s hope that trend continues forever.

WHO is nothing more than a UN propaganda machine designed to perpetuate itself even though it serves no earthly purpose.

In other words, WHO do the voodoo that WHO do so crappily.

Fewer people don’t magically die just because more are being tested.

You miss the point. The raw number of people actually dying is lower than a lot of other things, like traffic deaths and the flu. The whole “thing” with this was the percentage dying. If it turns out to be low, this is all much adieu about nothing. Well, not nothing, but it means we can get back to work.

People die every day. Lots of them. If this becomes just another thing that is responsible for some tiny percentage of the people that die, we can deal with that like we have the others. It’s why they salt sidewalks when it freezes.

none of this economic ruin would have happened it it wasn’t an election year. MSM put Trump in a vice. He made early efforts at keeping a lid on it but it became obvious they would use it to destroy him so here we are.

Dude, it’s all about odds. You are more likely to die in a car wreck, so stop driving.

Everyone?

The planet is doomed?

If that is true how does it help things if people are taking precautions, washing hands alot, eating well, etc, etc and doing what they can?

It doesn’t. It leads to hopelessness and rampant speculation and not going by what we have now, which are stats that Hume and others have provided.

That is it, exactly. The REAL problem they are trying to protect us from is this:

It’s not about keeping everyone from exposure. We will all be exposed eventually. It’s about keeping it from happening all at once.

I am pretty sure I am not ignoring the passage of time. As someone who treated swine flu I can tell you what I say then is much worse than what I see now. So before you make a statement that is untrue do a little research.

“Pelosi may not be acting intentionally but her and Schumer stopping the stimulus bill is really hurting the economy.”

I think this is their attempt to harm the nation yet again. They NEED the economy to tank to beat Trump since that is all he is running on. They are succeeding. The economy cannot rebound by election time with 30% unemployment and a million small businesses out of business. He is now toast. I fully expect a Hitlery return at the July democrap convention.

What did I do?

I don’t know why that made me laugh:). You obviously haven’t done anything...you feel they way you feel but you don’t have a gun to anyone’s head to force them to believe or feel the same.

These are strange times...I think people’s emotions are more at the surface as we face the unknowns. Because of a bum knee, I’m housebound now, anyway, and I am on FR constantly..just reading, reading, reading. Some very smart people out there. Learn a lot and even find a lot of comfort from the comments, too. Good luck on your outing. It’s all gonna be what it’s gonna be...we just do our best and try to stay levelheaded.

So if we need a strong economy to fight this, why are pelosi and Schumer taking any chance with the economy by stopping the stimuus bill which caused markets to drop further and hurt the economy more?

Well, no. The mortality rate-—if I understand it right-—is the # of deaths divided by the # of infections. More tests almost certainly = more infections, but if the number of deaths doesn’t rise sharply, then the mortality rate will fall with increasing #s of tests.

Am I wrong in this?

Best numbers I trust which are s Korea, where they are actively testing tens of tousands a day and haven’t overwhelmed there shan’t shoe a mortality rate around. 1%. (Slightly less).

S Korea’s mortality rate as of today is 3.8%. Better than China, likely due in large part by better data collection, but still not 1%.

South Korea has done well and appears to be well on the down-side. There are a lot of people there, however, that have been sick a long time.

Ummm...NO.

First of all the Trump team KNEW this was going to happen.

Testing has greatly expanded since they developed a new testing technique. They knew that the number of cases were going to rise dramatically over the last week.

BUT the disease itself (if it's going to kill) on average takes 4 weeks to kill from onset.

And then take into account the fact that there have been measures put in place to limit the spread so that those who might have died otherwise are still able to get critical care.

So you're a little premature.

My wife and I went to the store yesterday, bought gas, and even went to Lowe’s to get the wood for our planter boxes and a bunch of plants. We even talked to friends at Lowes that were there with their kids

The virus was not even on our mind. Well we did discuss it as a “news of the day” thing with our friends.

The hype in the MSM (Including fox) is strong. We were at far more risk of dying on our drive home. And we’re both 66. People need to concern themself with stuff that actually has a “strong” impaact of affecting them - like the flu, or losing their job.

We have not definite proof but pretty darn good evidence that the China Virus really hit here in mid-December. Talk to anyone you know, and you’ll find there were VERY high rates of a “flu” type bug from mid-Dec on until Jan 17 when they first admitted to the China Flu.

This means, quite the contrary, a) people are not being ‘reinfected’ (cuz none of them report that, and b) they have all recovered. It is a very, very mild virus in terms of killing power.
