At some point someone is going to “take one for the team” and absolutely mutilate one of these criminals in front of a camera as a warning that the people have limits. I assure you, a single viral video of one of these people being decapitated would stop this behavior instantly

I hope all of SF law enforcement is home watching TV - refusing to go to work..
To be fair, when I visited in 1988, the city was already alive with homelessness and begging, drunks sleeping in the bushes of city hall, and trash blowing around. SF 2020's situation is more a matter of degree.
