I’m thinking we can see what the death count is in three weeks. That will tell us how well we have mitigated things at that point. If we do well enough this could be behind us in a couple months.

Talk about setting a low bar.
There is no way the majority of hospitals in this country can handle a massive breakout these people are talking about. The hospital in our can handle about 250-350 people max. We are a fairly small county of about 115,000, well down from just 20 years ago before they closed the military fort here. That cost the county thousands and the cities and home sales went south for the duration because of it. Still our county hospital could not handle a breakout of even 1,000 people. They would be looking for bunk beds and cots and a high school gym to put the people in. But, the big question is where would the doctors come from.
The world class hospitals in Boston are influencing the quarantines. They will not be overrun with God as their witness!
Thus, the coronavirus and the measures being taken by the state and federal governments to deal with it, are about to provide the DNC with all the justification it needs for doing what the old Clinton freak James Carville advocated four days ago: “Let’s shut this puppy down and let’s move on and worry about November. This thing is decided. There’s no reason to keep it going, not even a day longer,” he said.
There are 5,000 hospitals in this country. Not 60,000.
Crap. 5,000 hospitals. 15 patients an hour each. 45,000. Times 24 hours. A bit over 900,000 seriously ill per day. If we have a million beds and empty them as fast as people get ill we could actually do this. I bet we are the only country in the world that can. That could be a serious National Defense achievement. If we are the only country in the world that can avoid being devastated by this it gives us a big leg up down the road.
Docs are important but techs and nurses will be not available.

Yup. Most of the doctors in our area are foreigners. We have a bunch of muslim doctors in our town. I think they come here for the $$$. If you see one and he needs to refer you to another doctor, you can count on it being another muslim Dr. They never send you to a white or black doctor from this country, always send you to a muslim, which I figure is a buddy of sorts. We have one moske here in our town, but I am unsure of exactly where they have it hid. We were told yesterday that all our local churches were being asked to close down and not have services. Ours complied. We are out until at least April and reevaluate then.
This is all a trial run for the Green New Deal. This is a milder version of how it will be like. In the new totalitarian America.
