A: An arrogant little fascist pr*ck with a whole lot of his own money who loves to control peoples’ lives;
or
B: An arrogant old communist pr*ck who got rich off a whole lot of taxpayer money and never worked a day in his life and loves to control peoples’ lives.

Our last 2 choices selected by the RNC were McCain and Romney, which the ensuing years have made these choices look less and less wise.
The guy who turned out to be a Winner, Trump, was not their choice in any sense of the word. We have him in spite of their literal “kicking and screaming”.
