First Amy Klobuchar had to acknowledge in a recent interview that she couldn’t name the president of Mexico. Then, speaking at a Black History Month event in Las Vegas, she met a crowd full of people who had difficulty naming her.
Pete Buttigieg has difficulties, too. His speech at a Nevada Black Legislative Caucus brunch over the weekend competed with the din of a buffet line — and whole tables of people who rarely looked up.

If “connection” with voters is necessary, and I believe it is, then Bloomberg is going to run into a brick wall that only the Dem establishment can save if he buys them off, and he will.
Operation Chaos with Pete would do us the most good with the black vote. Helping Biden or Bloomberg get the nomination would drive the whacko left most crazy so I say Bloomberg. Buy the nomination so that the no-pot-to-piss-in crowd has more justification for their actions.

It is very interesting that a sitting US Senator and Presidential candidate did not know the name of the president of Mexico.
That means she has been _really_ out of the loop in DC—and her staff is bottom-tier.
But she has honed the fine art of grifting and shakedown to the extent that she probably rivals a 1990 version of Hillary Clinton and she presents a far more likeable image.
She won’t get a VP slot because she is as far left as the rest of them and they need to try to tack towards the center for the general election.
Besides, I can't see two white guys on their ticket since sex organs and skin color is so important to the Democrat base.
These folks don't seem to be able to speak in any rational terms. All hyperbole, all the time. Everything will kill the planet within 12 years, everyone on the other side is the worst monster the world has ever known, etc etc etc.
One could simply say "their inability to connect with minority voters could lead to the end of their 2020 campaigns". Geez.

Do not help the DNC in their effort to make their voters forget that he was a Republican as mayor of NYC. $50bn is not enough to allow many Democrats to forgive that horrible horrible transgression.
You think so? Hillary was mostly seen as the victim wife of philanderer Bill, and labeled the Smartest Woman in America, etc etc. Her temper and her corruption were not allowed to be made public for many years yet. Klobuchar, on the other hand, is mostly unknown, and among the few things known about her are the salad-comb and throwing bonders at her staff. I think 2020 Amy is starting far below 1990 Hillary in both name recognition and likeability.
Further, Minneapolis ain't Chicago.
And how widely known (really) is Amy's maltreatment of her staff? Minnesota was actually competitive for Donald Trump in 2016 while Klobuchar was being re-elected by a 24% margin, roughly 22% of whom were also voting for Trump.
I hope you are right, but ignorance in the down ticket races is severe.
I should add the 24% re-election margin for Am Klobuchar was 2018, not 2016. So not exactly the same pool of voters, but many of the same pool nevertheless.

It will take 6 months for SC and NV to get the results in Democrats like to delay when in a corner.
