In the slanted world of Charlotte Alter, the “center” is liberal 2020 candidate Pete Buttigieg and Barack Obama made voting an “act of love.” MSNBC on Tuesday brought on the Time magazine journalist to explain the state of millennials politics and how her generation will “transform America.” The book, The Ones We’ve Been Waiting For, pulls its title from a Barack Obama speech.
Tur, who is 36, made no effort to check the biases of Alter, who is 36. Speaking of millennials and Obama, Alter enthused, “One reason is that Barack Obama was such a transformative figure for people. And he was for many people our age the first president that they really got behind. And he made voting into an act of love. ”
It’s hard to argue with an act of love.

For the Left, and especially most Millennials, every thought, word, and deed has to be focused on positive feelings, and belonging to the “correct” crowd. As long as they FEEL like they supported some victim group with their votes and protests and actions and social media posts, it is utterly irrelevant if they actually helped anyone in that victim group at all. They are quite clearly the perfect constituency for the Democrats, since the Left have not been able to produce positive results for anyone (other than Leftist politicians) for many decades... and yet 40+% of the nation would rather walk on broken glass than to consider voting for anyone else... because any failure to support the Good Side makes them a Bad Person, worthy of scorn and shame (and physical attacks if they show actual support for the other side).
