Army Lt. Col Alexander Vindman was escorted off the White House grounds and dismissed from the National Security Council Friday afternoon, according to reports. His twin brother Army Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman, who served as a lawyer on the NSC was also fired and left with Alex.
President Trump continued to drain the swamp as of this Friday he fired Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, just hours after firing Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the National Security Council official who testified at House impeachment proceedings against the commander-in-chief.
Like Vindman, Sondland testified at the impeachment proceedings.
“I was advised today that the president intends to recall me effective immediately as United States Ambassador to the European Union,” Sondland said in a statement, according to The New York Times.
The dual firings came days after Trump was acquitted in the Senate on charges that he abused his power by exerting pressure on Ukraine to open up politically charged investigations.
Both Sondland and Vindman testified about the interactions they had in spring and summer 2019 regarding the Trump administration’s policy toward Ukraine.
Nancy Pelosi decided to give her statement about the latest removal in Trump’s administration:
Lieutenant Colonel Vindman has proven to be an American patriot: on the battlefield when he earned a Purple Heart, and in the House trial when he spoke truth to power. His brave testimony showed America that right still matters.

The President’s vindictiveness is precisely what led Republican Senators to be accomplices to his cover-up. The firing of this patriotic soldier is a sad and shameless loss for America’s security.
“History will remember Lieutenant Colonel Vindman as an American hero.”
The moves come just two days after Trump was acquitted in the Senate on two articles of impeachment brought by the House last year over his dealings with Ukraine.

He can, in a way. Come November, let's pray that his coattails are long enough to flip at least 20 or 30 seats in Congress to the Republican side. Gotta believe that if they lose the House in this election, Pelosi is going to face a revolution in her party the likes of which have not been seen in an awful long time. Especially after she let Schiff-for-brains, Nad-less and "the Squad" run the show this past 13 months.
Many people here forget that Durham's initial inquiry is now a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. You have to remember there are numerous bad actors involved and will take time to dot the i and cross the t if he and Barr are to prosecute. This is a very complex case reaching back to the Steele dossier. Think of all the documents/evidence they have to pour through, and the countless interviews and/or depositions that Durham is dealing with.
If Durham does his job right, which most believe in his integrity, this will be the REAL draining of the Swamp. I'd be surprised if there is not a Grand Jury already empaneled. Also, realize there has been NO leaks regarding Durham's criminal investigation. That alone says a lot.
As if comrade obama never fired any of his military staff.

I think he didn't do that because he was thinking like a CEO, not a politician. A new CEO does not fire everyone in a company when he takes charge; he needs those people for their knowledge.

The real problem in the Trump administration are the repeated poor hiring choices...almost as if there is a life long Democrat involved in making them.

President Trump clearly appointed Sondland to the EU post because it was a useless dead end job.
Slick Willy Clinton is also impeached forever, and he was impeached for actual crimes. Why doesn’t Pelousy ever mention that?
