Moments ago, citing prosecutorial vindictiveness and the DOJ changing their position on sentencing, lawyers for Lt. General Michael Flynn filed a motion to withdraw the guilty plea. (pdf link PDF embed link below)
This is good news. Withdrawing the plea will now force the government to prove its case.

Sydney Powell tweet announcing this.
If the judge doesn’t allow it, that might make it appealable, where it wouldn’t be if he didn’t try to withdraw it. (ianal)
I would like to see a full exoneration of this Patriot who has endured much hardship just because he supported DJT. The swamp is deep and needs complete draining.
Yay!!!
Good!
I admit, I have been disconcerted to see people on this website blaming Flynn’s problems on him, saying he lied and pleaded guilty, so he deserves what he gets.
I just don’t understand that.
I liken it to someone who gets stopped by the cops, gets a gun or drugs planted on him, then tells a lie under duress leading to a prosecution and jail time.
I even had a fellow conservative tell me that I was engaging in moral relativism when I defended Flynn saying he should be completely vindicated, have his record cleared, and be paid damages by the government.
It bothers me a great deal of what happened to General Flynn. THAT could happen to ANY one of us if we allow it to go unpunished and continue.
Good.
I agree. Why should someone go to jail for lying when they didn’t lie. His only lie was the plea agreement in saying he did something he didn’t do.
It might happen to any of us, a lot quicker, since none of us have the name recognition that General Flynn has.
I hope someone gets their professional head chopped off, but I will not hold my breath.
YEEEESSSS!!!!!
Now this is how you beat the swap!!!!
Spit in their lying faces!
If the Judge allows it.

Absolutely right. It’s not as simple as “Oh, I’ve changed my mind, your honor.” He is going to have to throw his former lawyers under the bus to make this work. I believe in the providency stage of the trial involving the plea, the judge even asked Flynn if he was satisfied with his then counsel. Bottom line, the judge’s over-riding obligation is to see that justice is done, which should ultimately inure to Flynn’s benefit.
Hes going to have throw his original lawyers under the bus.
Hes going to have throw his original lawyers under the bus.

“former” “original” I think it means about the same. As you recall, after much water under the bridge, he finally fired his original lawyers prior to hiring Sydney Powell. I suspect Flynn was set up by whoever recommended that K Street legal team to him. They were likely part of an all encompassing DS operation against him.
Agreed
His former lawyers and Clinton friends do belong under the bus.
