Daily Mail reporting a high-level, pro-Iranian militia commander was killed in Iraq by an unknown gunman.

I think the attack on the embassy was a plan to unite the freedom loving Iranians against the USA. The gall of Solomeni showing up at the Iraq airport.

We've got some good intelligence going on.....and no leaking.

While the US might not offer any direct aid, or even the appearance of aiding and abetting the protest, it would be good policy to tacitly recognize the impulses and intent of the fomenting revolution, much as has happened in Venezuela and the disputed election there.

The Farsi are a fractious people, who seem almost continuously at odds with whomever the ruling faction may be, as it was a “popular” revolt that brought down the Shaw and replaced him with the ayatollahs and their theocracy. That outcome was anything but spontaneous. It had Jimmy Carter fingerprints all over it.
