However, before you discredit a story for the rest of us, how bout doing a quick internet search? I did... and as I posted, I found multiple sources...less than a minute.
If you have a minute to diss the thread source, how about taking a minute to verify?

The voa_persian Twitter account which is the source of this claim is not the Voice of America. The real VOA Twitter account is voairan.
It's total fake news, as would be expected for GP, and just because you find other off-brand sites that repeat the misinformation doesn't make it any more true.
All I saw was a rehash of the GP or voa_persian posts.
