I wouldn’t put it past the Schiffocrats to declare Trump impeached with only a committee vote and to Try and Convict him in the House Judicial Committee then try to move forward or sideways by ignoring everything else and trying to act as if the President has been Removed.

I’m kinda agreeing with you. I think they’ll “compromise” with House Democrat “moderates” by passing a censure resolution.
Worst possible political outcome (for Dems): Impeachment passes, but with no Republicans voting “yes.” Historical narrative will be unavoidable: vote was hyper-partisan, especially if there are several Democrat defections. Senate takes up the measure, and humiliates House Dems.
Next worse outcome: Impeachment fails.
Either is horrible news.

Local radio talk guy had a constitutional law guest on his show who claimed the Dems should be looking for a way out of this now. There isn’t one plausable scenario which would present an outcome that favors them.
Asked why he thinks they went down this road, he could only speculate that this serves no purpose than to be able to say Trump was put through the “impeachment process”.
(Personally....I’m dumb founded the media is acting the way they are. There is too much that can be negated. I know they are bias, but this is a complete wholesale sellout.)
To be clear, the form wasn't changed, and always allowed second hand info. The instructions were changed to allow the second hand complaint to be deemed urgent and sent to Schiff. Previously it would not.
Their base needs meat. They really are ignorant of what fly over country thinks of them. The have the Lame stream media running the show. Bottom line, they are this arrogant. They vote to impeach and run waving their arms over their heads hollering look we’re really something. IMO
I don’t see how the Dems can go forward, but I don’t see how they can back down either.
There will have to be a way for them to let this end without having to declare it over. Some distraction? False flag event?

I wish I shared your optimism. Though things are going well enough I am very wary of John Bolton. I feel like he’s going to stab Trump in the back.

I agree. If they know they can’t win they will not hold a vote.
If it goes to trial in the Senate the only person convicted will be Schiff.
A Senate trial will be very very bad for Schiff, and I don;t see them letting that happen.
Someone else brought up a point- they could just ‘deem’ him impeached by the committee and pretend it means something.
When Trump says he wants a trial, he is using reverse psychology.
