You presume that what you are witnessing is purely goal oriented, as in one end goal. In fact, what i believe you are seeing is defense by offense. People and powers need to be protected from exposure and consequence. In particular, you can't have their leaders and figureheads (and ironically puppets) being outed and threatened. The best way to stop it is not only to prepare a defense (although the indefensible is hard to defend) while simultaneously taking out the threat.

The Russian collusion was a clue as to what will happen. Much hype and no sizzle. Then the DNC’s water carriers in the enemedia move on to the next story as if nothing happened. If there is no next story, then they will invent one.

The Swamp is hiding their criminality. They never had to worry about their activities coming to light because they’ve always had presidents who played the game and continued the cover up. It all changed with this president. He’s an outsider who not only will not play their game, but wants to bust it up. That’s why we are where we are today. This president is our last real chance to clean up the corruption in our federal government!
