Disgraced former MSNBC analyst Mark Halperins book How to Beat Trump: America's Top Political Strategists On What It Will Take sold 502 copies during its first week, according to NPD BookScan's Wednesday report.
Not many Americans purchased Halperin's book this week despite the description on Amazon that claims, "more than 100 million anxious Americans want to know: how can Donald Trump be beaten in 2020 and evicted from the White House?"
Just six reviews of the book have been posted to Amazon, one of which is titled "Write what you know, Mark." In it, user Ball Student wrote, "He'd be better off avoiding speculation and sticking to areas he has extensive experience in: groping female employees."
Halperin has faced numerous allegations of sexual harassment and assault, and the news of his book contract with Regan Arts drawing substantial backlash. CNN reported that 12 women came forward publicly to accuse Halperin of sexual harassment or assault, which he denied.
Journalist Emily Miller, who worked with Halperin at ABC News, criticized anyone aiding him because she said it undermines the victims who came forward.
"Every person whos helping him regain power and a public platform is complicit in re-traumatizing all the victims," Miller said.
"Men like him don't change," she said. "He spent decades using his position of power in the media to sexually assault women. He hasn't even apologized to his victims."
Former CNN producer Eleanor McManus, who also said she was victimized by Halperin, criticized Regan Arts for signing him to a book deal despite his refusal to apologize.
"He has yet to take responsibility for his actions by apologizing to his victims or demonstrating genuine contrition," McManus said. "Giving him a book once again puts him in a position of authority and that is a slap to all the women that he has victimized."
NBC News terminated Halperin in light of the allegations. He has since started his own political blog.
That’s 500 or so too many.
But good.
To heck with him.
We’ll see how that book by Anonymous does when released later this month. And there is a pro-Trump book coming out soon as well.
10 per state lol
Will be in the dollar store buy one get one free next month
It’s all about supply and demand. Anti-Trump messages are being dished out to the public for free, 24/7, in every possible medium. Why should they pay for it?
Didn’t “sell to libraries” at all?
Couldn’t get any unions or organizations to buy mass quantities?
The number of books sold is not always as important as to who was buying the book. That would be information I would be interested in.
Book deals can be used to launder bribe money. A politician has a ghost writer re-write some of their speeches and they are put into a “book”. Unions and big contributors buy the book by the car load. The publisher makes money and the politician makes money, all legal.
The fact that Mark Halperin’s book has only sold 500 (to date) just means he has zero influence in the political arena and he has generated zero interest in the public arena.
The Trump Curse strikes again.
Perhaps his next book should be JUST WHO IS MARK HALPERIN AND DOES ANYONE CARE HE WROTE A BOOK?
Last I saw Jim Acosta moved about 12K, so hes 24 times better than this guy! For reference I think Mark Levin had moved around 400K copies of his most recent book
Big news.
Why don't you go grab some Dem girl boobies, Markie?
HA! What a loser!
I thought book companies had SOME idea of how a book might sell before publishing it.
I guess I was wrong.
I dont know how many copies a “successful” book sells.
I figured it would have to start at 50k.
I don’t know
I guess they don’t give advances to everybody.
The obscene advances made by ‘publishers’ to prominent people ‘writing a book’ needs to be addresses.
It is outright bribery & done openly despite very poor sales of such books.
The Obama’s are overnight millionaires because of book advances.
There should be a ‘royalty’ structure, like the music industry.
IF the book doesn’t sell, the ‘author’ doesn’t make any money, and can owe the publisher for all the printing of copies that never get sold.
Maybe Publishers are getting a little worried about their ‘non-printing kickback deals’ with liberal authors...
Or Liberal thugs have found a good scapegoat so they can look like they’re condeming someone... someone who’s lost their power and is safe to kick around and treat like they treat Republicans... while they still give passes to Epstein’s Orgy Island democrat pals...
Gee, he seems like such a nice guy /S
With sales of 500 books, I'd beg to differ.
