The network coverage of the testimony of National Security Council staffer Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman as a “bombshell” and “damning” was laughable and dishonest, implying that his service to his country wearing its uniform made him credible and unbiased witness without a political agenda. Particularly egregious were the comments of NBC News anchor Lester Holt, who equated wartime courage with peacetime candor. As Newsbusters noted:
After a report on the California wildfires, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt told viewers “[t]here was dramatic testimony in the House impeachment investigation by a decorated war hero who works on the National Security Council and was among those who heard that phone call between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart.”
Except that others on the call between President Trump and Ukrainian President, including those who were charged with producing transcript, don’t quite remember the call the way Vindman does. Certainly both participants on the call both said there was no pressure for Ukraine to “dig up dirt” on former Vice President Joe Biden. As for the quid pro quo, we now know the Ukrainians didn’t learn until August military aid had been delayed. The phone call was in July. It’s hard to have a quid pro quo when the party being extorted is not told about the alleged quo. So just what was Vindman’s problem with the call?
In his opening statement, Vindman says he came forward because he “did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen.” Yet when pressed to explain where in the phone call transcript any demand was made, he lapsed into psychobabble about President Zelensky inferring a demand because of Trump’s more powerful position in the world. As Fox News reported:

All Democrats have is fourth hand hearsay. No probative evidence the President committed an illegal act.
Theres nothing here that rises to the level of an impeachable offense and its time to move on.
Talking points script. That's why. The intellectual inconsistency of our mass media is so compromised by politicians now running the news organizations that nothing that is reported is of any merit whatsoever.
I can’t stand this whole “war hero” thing when we are talking about behind the scenes pencil pushers. The true heros are the guys with their fingers in a trigger guard or the ones in the breach supporting them. I don’t know Vidman’s history too well but I do know he entered the service out of college as an officer.
Because the Marxist left controls the narratrive.
This process is the exact same process used to deceive the FISA court. It’s a Democrat deep state template.
Dont forget about democrats deriding Gen Betray-us
If this guy is still active duty he needs to be transferred to Afghanistan.
Not only is there not an impeachable offense.. There is no offense whatsoever.
The fact that this guy ended up in the White house or could even go near it is an indictment of whoever gave him a security clearance.
Really?
An army officer who is lobbying for a corrupt Ukraine organization. playing games with the CIA, Steele, Schiff.....getting a security clearance that gets him in the white house?
The people that made it possible should be fired on the spot.
They must have cleared other spies/traitors not yet discovered.
He was injured by a roadside IED. No heroics. Just bad luck. A Purple Heart says nothing about a person’s courage, let alone their honesty.
Because Flynn told the truth and AV lied his ass off.
This whole thing generates a great deal of anger in me.
I don’t know General Flynn, don’t know anything about what he is like, don’t know if he is good at his job or good to work for, but I do know one thing:
These scum in the Obama Administration abused their positions of power and the tools of the government to conspire to set him up because he disagreed with their cheese-eating surrender monkey appeasing behavior, and did so vocally and publicly.
The people who all did that should be punished to the fullest extent of the law for destroying his career, bankrupting his family, and ruining his reputation.
Boy, does this make me hot.
And then they trot this Pajama Boy leftist pussy up there wearing his uniform to shield him from criticism as he behaves in a way that for any non-leftist military person in the past would have had him branded as a Domestic Enemy of The United States.
I despise them all, and hold out hope however remote, that they will get their just desserts.
Need to add: Physical courage and moral courage are separate things. Lots of physically brave men have been willing to do bad things to make money or advance their careers. The corrupt politicians following the Civil War often had outstanding and genuinely heroic war records. Didn’t stop them from robbing the taxpayer though.
I spent most of my adult life in the military. It doesn’t make me a foreign policy expert. And while I am pretty honest, my being in the military had nothing to do with my being honest. I had a number of commanders I would not have bought a used car from.
Vindman served only 10 years as an Infantry officer. He rode over an IED and got a PH just like any REMF supply type. He has spent 20 plus years as a foreign affairs puke in DC.
Somebody should ask the politicians and media pundits why being "a decorated war hero" automatically makes someone patriotic, trustworthy, candid, and only concerned for our nation. If their logic is correct, then we must have terribly misunderstood Timothy McVeigh, since he earned a Bronze Star in combat. So by the logic of the politicians and media pundits he must also have been patriotic, trustworthy, candid, and only concerned for our nation.
But somehow I think their opinion of how important "a decorated war hero" is depends totally on whether or not that person supports leftist causes.

For that he has my respect, the rest not so much.
