Well, I have already opined that phase one was to allow ANY and EVERY thing to join your ranks and lower standards when and where required to accommodate.

When you get the ‘virile young men’ to cut and run the results are predictable.

So now your USMC is ‘filled’ with more ‘worthless’ than not and it starts to go downhill.

Now that the ‘active base’ has been decimated, you go after ‘us’, those that still maintain sense of pride and considered it an honor to serve- so when things were starting to go ‘iffy’, we said no way, this can’t be happening.

BUT it is.

Went I went USN in 1956 one of the reasons was to get away from ‘Mom, Sis and those that we would rather not associate with’.

NOW they are catering to the ‘oddballs’.

Yep, we need to often thank those in harm's way, who night and day, thousands of miles away from their own families, are ready and waiting to annihilate any who would attack us in our slumber. Their efforts and sacrifices are what's really keeping us safe!

And on the missile confusion, I've discovered China unveiled two new missiles during its recent military parade.

"The DF-17 [pictured at the beginning of the thread], which is thought to be a medium-range system, made an impact at a range of approximately 1,400 kilometers with the HGV flying at a depressed altitude of around 60 kilometers following the completion of the DF-17’s ballistic and reentry phases, according to the report. HGVs begin powered flight after separating from their ballistic missile boosters, which follow a standard ballistic trajectory to give the payload vehicle sufficient altitude."

To equate gender with race as diversity is absurd. There are all kinds of reasons why a man or a woman may be wrong for certain jobs in the military, but none for why one race or another would be wrong.

Here's a better view of those "DF-17" hypersonic payload buses:

Looks like a typical flat-bottomed "hypersonic sled" design, IMO...

Actually, that overhead view in the article just shouts, "Propaganda Photo" to me...

• The propaganda "DF-17" nomenclature was added to the parade" missiles -- for "our" benefit -- "using Roman characters, instead of the Chinese "Dong Feng" ideograms: ("东风").

• Sorta reminds me of the freshly hand-painted propaganda sign put on TV after we bombed Baghdad:
  "Baby Milk Factory"

• That overhead view appears to be a rep of "cloned CGI transporter+Missile images -- or "cloned" model photos -- with added-in(serialized) vehicle numbers ...

• (Notice that the lug nuts on all wheels are in the exact same rotational position...)

I suppose the above observations should be tempered with the fact that the ChiCom (and Nork) cultures are extremely "symbolism-oriented".

For example, examination of photos of their "Propaganda Parades"shows that all vehicles have freshly-painted, white Roman character ID numbers on their sides -- and that vehicles are deployed side-by side -- In perfect numerical order...

IMO, our intel folks should be studying that symbolism-driven" cultural mindset carefully. Methinks there are some tactical ( if not strategic) clues therein...

There may be much to be gleaned from the fact that "DF-17" is fairly low in their Dongfeng" missile series. (Does it mean they finally solved hypersonic glide-flight? Or does it mean that they have perfected "Mini-MIRV" capability? Or... is it all propaganda...?)
