Democrats advanced a new measure this week to encourage states to pass “red flag” laws. These so-called extreme risk protection orders authorize removing guns and ammunition from individuals deemed as dangerous by some anonymous, unaccountable person, but it would not include the ready-made lists of gang members.
Republicans tried to add an amendment including known gang members, but the Democrats will not permit the inclusion of gang databases. It’s odd since gangs are the ones causing most of the so-called gun violence.
They would agree to include the names of white supremacists, but not other terror groups.

Every move, step, and breath that Democrats in power take anymore has with it the eventual goal whether it be 10, 20, 30, or even 50 years from now putting a certain demographic in this country at an extreme risk and being unable to defend themselves.
In short........Democrats want some of us genocided...literally.

Gangs are exempt since they are part of the Democrats’ core constituency.
Gang databases are the biggest “Red Flag” of all.
Make it known that these individuals that make up gangs are under unending scrutiny, and they might not ever become “good citizens”, but they will be the “usual suspects” rounded up.
There is a way to reduce this tarnish of their “stainless” record, you know. Don’t join in gangs, or get out of them at first opportunity and stay out.

They are only interested in harassing and oppressing law-abiding American citizens. Everything they do proves it.
I do not remember where it was, but a small town DID abolish their police department.

It is my considered opinion that existing state “Red Flag” laws are unconstitutional in respect of the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 14th Amendments to the US Constitution, and will be adjudged so in the near term. I am counting on it!
Your second sentence is 100% correct. But it sails right over the heads of the sheep.

in this case, the state police took over I believe. I want to say it was in Pennsylvania somewhere, I am not sure.
Only criminals and government departments can have weapons... the dream of the dictator class.
As a Life Member of the National Rifle Association, I am very disturbed by the knee-jerk “ban the gun mentality” the LIEberal chattering and professional political classes have brought into the public debate. Thus far, no pundit or politician has suggested any change to our system which would reduce gun violence. Indeed, the “suggestions” and LIEberal “demands” I am familiar with do nothing more than make criminals of law-abiding citizens!
Parenthetically, I believe that IS the REAL LIEberal (both Democrat AND Republican!) intent, and I further believe that they want to ban private gun ownership in the USA.
We must not let them prevail!
I believe that the proper approach to take is to review ALL of the federal “gun” laws now on the books and throw out the unconstitutional ones and the ones (and there are many!) that don’t work. Then seek ways and means to enforce the remainder in a proper and Constitutional manner.
Without a doubt, juvenile record screening, mental health screening and membership in gangs should be in the mix when considering the NICS background check.
Lenient policies and a lack of discipline in our schools and courtrooms are the cause of our difficulties in regards to gun violence and crime, not an absence of laws! We have enough laws; surely we do not need any new ones!

Good let this be a deal breaker and kill the Red Flag Laws. Good Bye and Good Riddance to this bad idea.

No they are not. Its to move an agenda. Just like there will never be anything done about the mental health angle.
Databases are biased, the algorithms used to build them are in fact racist and will target blacks and Hispanics because demographics are not based on social justice criteria....
