I wonder if RINOs aren’t really just Democrats who couldn’t exist in that Communist party, so they became Republican because what else could they do? But as I open more and more to who the Democrats really are, I would not be surprised if Democrats join the Republican party to be moles and 5th columns.

That may be the case in a percentage, however some RINOs, like John McCain have always been Republicans. The left-wing moderates of the party. Often referred to as Rockefeller Republicans. So it isn't the case across the RINO spectrum.

I’m from AZ, so yes, I remember John McCain well, but not sure what to put past what I now think of as the “other side” now.
