...Mitch McConnell held a brief press conference Tuesday afternoon and addressed President Trump's controversial tweets telling progressive Congresswomen to "go home." McConnell opened the media availability with a statement and then took questions, including one about his immigrant wife and current Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao from CNN's Manu Raju.
"The president is not a racist, and I think the tone of all of this is not good for the country, but it's coming from all different ideological points of view," McConnell told reporters.
"We've seen the far-left throw accusations of racism at everyone, anyone who disagrees with them on anything including the Speaker of the House," he said.

MANU RAJU, CNN CONGRESSIONAL REPORTER: You're married to an immigrant that is a nationalized U.S. citizen. If someone were to say to her she should go back to her country as a criticism of federal policies, wouldn't you consider that a racist attack?MCCONNELL: Well, the Secretary of Transportation came here at age eight legally, not speaking a word of English, and has realized the American dream. And I think all of us think that this is a process of renewal that's going on in this country for a very long time and is good for America. We ought to continue it.
RAJU: Was it racist for him to say go back to the country of (INAUDIBLE)?
MCCONNELL: As I said, the--the immigration has been a fulfilling of the American dream, and new people who come here have a lot of ambition, a lot of energy, tend to do very well and invigorate our country, and my wife's a good example of that.
REPORTER: Would you ever use the words go back to where you came from?
MCCONNELL: ...I'm obviously a big fan of legal immigration.

Did Trump call out (or hint at) Elaine Chao being the anti-semitic, al queda/hamas loving, anti-American communists like the four horsewomen of the Dem party?
Is Elaine Chao's country of birth (Taiwan) the hellhole on earth and everybody fleeing there as refugee(s)?
They (media) even dug out the 'presidential historian' Jon Meacham to paint Trump the racist-est president in American history (and people have thoughts).
Well it’s the law, non-whites cannot be criticized especially members of CONGRESS, that’s CONGRESS, who support terror, hate Jews and hate the USA.
Would you ever use the words go back to where you came from?
MCCONNELL: ...I'm obviously a big fan of LEGAL immigration.
______________
LOL ....... classy by McConnell.
If they said they hated America, I would tell them to go back home.
But my wife is an Appalachian American. When I told her to go back home, we did.
Does it have anything to do with race?
I’m pretty sure this sort of thing has been said before, both in anger, and as well as in jest. It’s personal, and it can definitely be deemed rude in social perspective, but race is inherently not a factor.
This is just like assigning the race card to the citizenship question of the census. If that’s racist, then why aren’t the questions about ethnicity struck from the census? These questions are intrinsically more racist than attempting to discern citizenship.
The media and Idiot Omar loved that racist agitator telling the Covington Catholic School students to “go back to Europe” and that being white was merely enough reason to have to leave the United States.
AOC went to Hawaii to campaign on behalf of a Dem-Com and played up her Puerto Rican heritage (even though she was born in the Bronx) and slammed the United States as imperialist for oppressing the nations of Puerto Rico and Hawaii.
We are still recovering form racism form the last decade. Is it racist to send convicted criminals back home?
They are despicable America-hating bastards.
If McConnell’s immigrant wife was a vocal anti-American b!+c#, then no, it would not be ‘racist’ or anything else to tell her to go back where she came from.
But, since she’s not...
While I haven’t looked it up in Webster or any other dictionary, I’m pretty sure the definition of racism is about RACE and not progressive politics or progressive politicians. Maybe the President should just tweet out the Webster’s Dictionary definition and point out that he was not referring to anyone’s race. It’ll be great to see the Left go insane trying to modify the accepted definition.
Well, since you asked Manu Raju .The Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao I suppose could be asked to go back to her country, however, she loves America and actually loves working for Americans, so you see, the difference between the Jihad Squad and Secretary Chao is the Secretary actually loves America and defends America while the Jihad Squad $itches about America, Americas founding, and Americas traditions .therefore the President would not ask her to return to where she came from, fix where she came from and return to America and show us how to fix a country .
Manu Raju pppfffffttttt, what a jackass, he is as worthless as balls on a dairy cow!!!
Answer: “If my wife told me she hated America, and wouldn’t stop saying it, yes, I’d tell her to go back.”
Does it have anything to do with race?
It does if the MSM says it does. Which is why it is imperative that Trump keeps tweeting
It is the only way to get the truth out
Viewership might be down at MSM outlets but together, and they are together, they control the narrative
Ill look for judge Jeanine to monologue to be something like this
She is our only loyal pundit
Everyone else it seems is afraid of the truth
I find the CNN ‘argument’ to be awful weak.
There are lots of legal immigrants who came in and did the bureaucratic paperwork business, and eagerly accepted citizenship. These people don’t whine about the opportunities that they/their family were given. They don’t condemn the flag. They believe in the capitalist system and embrace commerce as part of their future and success.
And bringing up Chao’s home country of Taiwan...every single Taiwanese descendant that I’ve met, were humble, gracious, and consumed with passion about being an American. It’s about the last group on Earth that I’d label as ‘whiners’. These are people who want the legal path of entry, want to own property and businesses, and to pass something along to their kids later in life.
And I for one would have absolutely no problem with either location be given their autonomy to be independent countries, especially Puerto Rico. And while we’re at it, rescind the citizenship of anyone from PR, retroactive 25 years.
Trump didn't out of the blue call for a minority to leave.
The minorities were severely complaining and bitching about America, expressing their HATE for the country.
Trump's point is that, IF YOU HATE AMERICA, WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?
They continue to purposely misquote and pretend to misunderstand. Disgustong.
What does “race” have to do with it?
