KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Subtlety was never the intent of the wedding decor for Audra and Jeff Johnson's nuptials. The couple married on July 4th in Kalamazoo, surrounded by friends and family donned in "Make America Great Again" hats.
“It looked like America threw up all over my wedding and I’m not sorry," bride Audra Johnson told WXMI.
Johnson says in addition to celebrating their love, she and her husband decided to use their wedding day as an opportunity to celebrate President Donald Trump. No detail was overlooked, down to the groomsmen's 'don't tread on me' cuff links. Each reception table featured a petition for an anti-abortion "heartbeat bill."

They should have sent an invitation to Trump and his family. Maybe someone would have responded.
I have the feeling there is more to the story on the father who refused to attend. My guess: he doesn’t like the wife and has a poor relationship with his son, regardless of this MAGA wedding.
I tried to find where they were registered.
It’s a special day and I agree that is very tacky. Families come from all different backgrounds and beliefs. Personally I think they did it to be in the news.

The father was an fool not to attend his son’s wedding but people will be fools from time to time. He has the rest of his life to regret a poor decision.

the wife states in the video that part of their motivation was to refute the stereotype that only whites support Trump (since her husband is black and she is Filipino).
They self-identify as African-American and Filipina.
