Rand Paul makes an obvious argument: The government must be taught to behave with a limit to its credit card.

If money is needed for a crisis, funds should be moved from the least important part of the budget. If needed projects in the U.S. are delayed to deal with a border crisis perhaps there would be a more realistic and responsible view towards open borders and granting of asylum.

Matters of national security and the well-being of U.S. citizens should always be the most important considerations.

The cheapest way to handle the situation is instead of putting them on buses to the interior, we put them on planes home.
