To think men and women fought and also died for the freedoms we have . . .even the freedom to louse up the country into third world status.

Commondreams has gone full on batshit. Stoking hysteria to unsustainable levels seems to be the plan in the lead up to the Democratic debate. No doubt that is to try to swing the whole process as far to the painfully reaction-driven-groupthink left as possible regardless of the effect on mental health.
The good news for citizens being oppressed by their city and state governments is that the Founding States gave the feds the express constitutional power to take down misguided activist city and state governments run by state actors who ignore lawful majority citizen voter will and constitutionally enumerated protections.
"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."
From the 14th Amendment:
"Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Were still stuck with a worthless Congress left over from the lawless Obama administration that is arguably as corrupt as the city and state governments that are on the backs of the good citizens of Los Angeles, Seattle and other cities.
The remedy for constitutionally failed federal, city and state governments
All patriots in the nation need to come to the rescue of citizens in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, New York and other cities by doing the following.
Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJTs vision for MAGA, now KAG, but will also promise to make penal laws that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.
Remember in November 2020!
