I admire Luther for giving the Bible to the German people in their own language.
It is what the world wanted.
Whenever someone puts the contents of the actual canon within the reach of the average person, that is a very good thing.
I just picked up the entire works of Josephus. Looking forward to reading it for myself, rather than just what people say about it.
re: “I admire Luther for giving the Bible to the German people in their own language.”
This is stupid statement. Why? It declares what is already known.
Meanwhile, you still miss the point.
At this point, I do not expect any return to that point, because, no one *knows* the answer.
Because, “Life (for the Bible) begins at Luther”.
No, it does not. Where was the Bible BEFORE Luther?
Anyone?
Bueller?
No one will address that.
