Can Republicans Get Elected in Nonwhite America?

Strong, unapologetic leaders like Trump can - he's got some of the highest ratings any Republican president has had among blacks and Latinos in recent memory. They recognize strength and purpose and they respect it, just like everyone else.

But milk-sop Republicans like Romney and Rubio? Not a prayer - leftists will of course never vote for them, and conservative blacks and Latinos have no reason to except for the lack of a choice - same as white conservatives. The Romneys and Rubios will never get it - their attempts to pander to the left don't make minorities more likely to vote for them.

Baltimore would be a perfect test bed for this. A third black female mayor failed miserably. A local news anchor was fired for merely asking if that was the problem. It’s been many decades since any Republican was in office. The city is ripe for a strong fiscal conservative who is willing to burn down the current government.

Alas, I can’t think of one such person in the city
