Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Good information here from a Hannity interview with Devin Nunes Friday evening.

For those of you who still like to read, the transcript is below, but first the big takeaways.:

- The Nunes letter Hannity references requests DOJ provide him with all documentation collected by the Mueller Witch Hunt related to longtime U.S. intelligence asset Joseph Mifsud.

- Per Fox News, Nunes’ letter is also addressed to “Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Central Intelligence Agency Director Gina Haspel, National Security Agency Director Paul Nakasone and FBI Director Chris Wray. It asks them to hand over all information they have on Mifsud by May 10.”

- Mifsud was one of the spies the FBI ran into the Trump Campaign during 2016 in its efforts to entrap George Papadopoulous and other Trump Campaign officials into committing some illegal admission or act.

- Nunes knows already that Mifsud has also long been an asset for other western intelligence agencies, including those from Great Britain, Australia and Italy.

- Nunes suspects that Mifsud also serves as an operative for the Russians, and believes the Mueller Witch Hunt likely collected documentation proving that’s the case.

- As Nunes notes, if his suspicion about Mifsud is proven correct, it would be an enormous scandal for the FBI and U.S. intelligence agencies.

Just another piece of this highly-complex puzzle that could be about to fall into place.

[Here’s the transcript of the Hannity/Nunes clip. I have used the abbreviation “Papa” to avoid having to type Papadopoulous a dozen times.:]

Nunes: After the Mueller report came out, we said we were going to comb through it. One of the first things that came out was that they used a Guardian news report to claim that the Link campus was a place where Mifsud had worked. What they failed to say in that same report was that Mifsud was linked to Italian intelligence services.

So, if you’re Mueller, you don’t get to report the parts that you want to report in your story, you have to put the entire piece before the American people. He didn’t do that, so we’re calling him out. This is not how investigations are supposed to be run.

When you look into Mifsud closer, you realize he is connected with all kinds of intelligence agencies, including our own FBI. And in that letter, Sean, you’ll see there’s pictures with FBI agents at the Link campus where Professor Mifsud teaches.

So, we asked the question – and I’ll just sum it up like this – we want to know every document that these agencies have related to Mifsud. Because if he is in fact a Russian agent, this would be one of the biggest intelligence scandals not just for our agencies, but also for the Italians and the Brits and others. Because if Mifsud is a Russian agent he would know all kinds of our intelligence agents throughout the globe.

So we asked those questions, we want those documents and we are giving them a week.

Hannity: You said that this professor has all these connections to all these western intelligence agencies, and yeah, Mueller implies that he was a Russian agent, but it may be much deeper is how I’m seeing this. My question to you is do you believe that in an effort to illegally spy on the American people that it’s possible that some at the top of our intel community under Obama/Biden may have outsourced things that were illegal for them to do Americans, so that they could have our allies do the spying for them. Let me give you an example: Great Britain or Australia or maybe Italy – am I over the target here?

Nunes: I think you are, and one of the things we point out in the letter is very specific: Because the FBI, or I should say the Mueller group, claims that Papadopoulous misled them, and they were not allowed to get to Prof. Mifsud in time in order to interview him. These are the claims they make against Papa when they sentence him to prison.

What we found it, well wait a second, if this is really what happened, and if you backtrack all of this they’re basically making the claim that Mifsud is the guy who said he had emails or other information about the emails being the hands of the Russian government. If that is in fact true, they couldn’t talk to Mifsud until supposedly January, February of 2017. Well, how do they know to ask Papa all throughout 2016 whether or not he’s seen the Russian emails, or whether he knows about the Russian emails?

The only way that’s possible is that had to come from Mifsud some way, somehow.

Now, who Mifsud’s really working for I don’t know, but like everything we do, Sean, we have to be slow and patient because we have to see what is the real relationship between Mifsud and our FBI, Mifsud and our State Department?

Hannity: You specifically talk about omissions in the Mueller report and you also explain how Papa met Mifsud. We’re about to have Papa and his wife on, and the story that we now know is true – that even the NY Times has now admitted this week, the FBI was using young, pretty, flirtatious women right out of a James Bond novel, along with Stefan Halper, along with Mifsud, to set Papa up. Is there anything I’m saying that’s wrong, and how deep did it go?

Nunes: I said this a year ago – and I and others got mocked – I’m not interested in if the Trump Campaign was spied on. That happened. That’s a fact.

I want to know how many spies, informants, whatever you want to call them, were run into the Trump Campaign.

So, look, the Times story now says 2, that’s up from 1, my guess is it’s a lot more than that. If you listen to what AG Barr said yesterday, as sophisticated as this operation was, there had to be a lot more people, sophisticated people that were involved in this operation from our own FBI.

So I still want to know how many spies were run into the Trump Campaign. I still don’t know, but we’re gonna get the answer, and we’re gonna get it out to the American people.

Professor Mifsud being a Russian asset underpins all of their subsequent activity. If Mifsud is not a Russian intelligence asset, the FBI and CIA have a problem within their narrative. If Mifsud is a Western asset, well, that proves Papadopouls was being set up.

All Republicans including Nunes is sill all talk talk talk. Maybe by 2030 something will happen. I have very little faith is constant talk we are on when not a damn thing is indicting.
