I stand corrected! Pope Mario the Pious was the most sorry, arrogant prick to “serve “ in public office in our lifetime. 0bama is a very, very close second, almost a toss up.

And yet, Mario could not deign to accept the Dem nomination for Prez in 1988, thus his moniker of “Hamlet on the Hudson”.

The Presidency was beneath him; after all, it could last no more than a mere eight years. What Mario sought as a suitable outlet for his divine wisdom was an appointment to the Supreme Court. But that was not to be.

He finished his days as multimillionaire rainmaker for a law firm, even begging Rush Limbaugh not to highlight his wealthy liberal hypocrisy.
