I can think of no better example of the old axiom, “When you need a job done right you have to do it yourself,” than this story. And let’s hope it has legs because every state and federal leader in the country needs to take notice of it because the future has arrived.
On Friday The New York Times published a story about a civilian-led militia group, which — believe it or not — Fox News labeled “right-wing” — is ’rounding up illegal aliens,’ ‘holding them at gunpoint,’ and alerting the U.S. Border Patrol so agents can come to pick them up.

Unfortunately it seems a distinct possibility.
Did the illegals ask the militia, “Where are your badges?”.
If the militias shoot them.....and I'm on the jury - militiaman walks.
Maybe the word will go out the invasion won't tolerated. Either the country is worth fighting for, or it isn't.
Then you let them walk off.
The media will say the rocks threw themselves.
“What if they just walk off?”
Then you hope that somebody remembered to bring a shovel.

Those interested in joining the militia on the border or offering any assistance like supplies, etc., here is what I was told by someone there: they need the names, date of birth, place of birth. They do vetting before allowing anyone to come in and join them.If interested I will send you the contact person.
“Okay so there is the hole in the fence. And even if you are caught, they will take you into town and give you food and water and a place to sleep. Then they usually just release you if you know somebody in the USA. If they send you back - meet me back here next Tuesday and we'll try again.”
I sure hope that isn't the case - although they were all very subdued. No arguing, no shouting, just sitting there waiting, and then walking quietly following the others to the BP vehicles. I suppose they figured they were caught - what is the use. And they know they are guilty.
I suppose some of them might have run off. Not sure what the rules are down there for a citizen's arrest and using reasonable force. Regardless of what the law says, it would be very bad press for enforcing the border if some mom and kid were shot in the back as they tried to flee.

of the “melitia” has been reprimanded.

Then they walk (probably with someone dogging them to keep ICE updated on their location) - in this case they opted to wait for apprehension....
