I’m shocked the King agreed to this. The last time there were large number of palis in Jordan they repaid his hospitality by trying to murder his entire family. That was in 1972.
The Jordanian Army drove them into the West Bank at gunpoint. It’s where the Black September movement got their name.

Yes, if memory serves (I haven’t looked this up yet) Black September came from September, 1970 when King Hussein of Jordan turned his troops loose on the PLO and killed 8,000 or 10,000 of them.
So, of course, Black September then kills the Joooooz at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Financed by the man who is now the United Nations “partner in peace” - Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, formerly known as Abu Mazen.
As I recall, the PLO then moved to Lebanon and brought the ‘82 Lebanon War.

If you screen out the radicals, the members of Hamas and Fatah, and don’t let them live in camps, then the Palis who move will probably very peacefully integrate into their new homeland.
The Palis that went to Jordan after the 1967 war were mostly living in tent camps, among themselves, and that is a prescription for disaster.
