Any proof confirming this? For some reason I just don’t believe it. Don't know if it's true, but I can kind of see it. Criminals by their very nature tend to be anti-establishment, anti-government types. The democrats are the party of big government and nanny state laws.

I agree. Prison and it's tentacles expose inmates to just about all they can take of feeding big government and all their parasites. Very easy to see their tipping point.
And my dad worked in a maximum security prison for 20 years. He is no longer around this earth, but this story would not surprise him one bit.

Worked for corrections 28 years. I thought many criminals had conservative views. Just didn’t want them applied to themselves.
