Been doing research lately on Intermittent Fasting (IF) and detox for heavy metals. These toxins and chemicals/hormone disrupters are stored in our body fat until the body is able to expel them. For most of us, that never happens because we are constantly in a status of high toxin exposure . Then one day, we are either exposed to more toxin or have stress activation that literally spills us into toxic overload and we get very sick over a seemingly minor disruption. Straw that breaks the camel’s back, so to speak. If the liver is already fatty and stressed, it’s not going to be able to handle additional toxic load, so the body continues shunting toxins into storage (fat cells) until it is able to safely release them.

IF and detox are ways to release toxins, but you have to be really careful with it, because causing your cells to release the toxins can put your body into a state of toxic overload.

in addition to IF, you can utilize other ways to detox the liver:

I saw your comment about fasting and thought “I should post about fasting!”. Beat me to it. But I’ll post later on (been a CRAY CRAY day so far, water still out...). There are many views and methods about fasting, and I have a bit o experience, and since my field is Ayurveda, I can post about that. Different ways work well for different people, and also depends on what they’re detoxing from. What is Xeneplex?
