Look of the work of the (now retired) Dr. Richie Shoemaker (MD out of Duke).

He used some anti-cholesterol drugs (off-label) to sequester Lyme disease toxins from the body.
The toxins are
a) fat soluble
b) processed by different people according to some specific genetic markers, resulting in different disease response among different people.

Thank you. I need to look up info. Long term effects from Lymes is not uncommon.
