Almost 20 years ago my brother had radiotherapy for cancer in his neck. The cancer was cured, but he was left with two long-lasting side effects. One was a bald spot. The other was progressive inflammation on his retina on the radiated side, gradually leading to a loss of 40% of the visual field in that eye.
Around the beginning of this year he began using megadoses of niacin, mainly to prevent COVID. Two or three months in, he visited his haircutter of 15 years, and she asked him, "Did you get implants?" Apparently due to the improved circulation due to niacin, his bald spot had grown back in.
Soon after, he noticed that his vision was getting better, and his opthalmologist confirmed that not only was his vision nearly back to 100% but the clear signs of inflammation and capillary blockage on his retina had almost completely disappeared -- almost 20 years after his original radiation injury.
Niacin has multiple important systemic effects. First, it opens up your blood vessels so that the blood flows through like a fire hose, improving both oxygenation and nutrition of the cells. Second, it reduces inflammation and removes the products of inflammation from the circulatory system and other tissues. Third, it normalizes the gut bacteria so that the gut can better extract nutrients from food and also produce additional things that the body needs, such as melatonin. In addition, it prevents the COVID spike protein from clogging up a key cellular receptor, GPR109, which is one of the main ways COVID attacks the body.
If I were your friend, I would get started on the niacin protocol. It can't do any harm -- other than the temporary flush feeling -- and it's likely to do some good.
