Especially now when our country has been illegally taken over by a pack of criminals, times are tough for most of us. Keeping a peaceful heart and mind are vital, and can be achieved even in the midst of chaos and bad times.
I once heard a talk on how to maintain peace inside when it is not peaceful outside. Inside the hurricane is the eye - no winds, no rain, peaceful inside that eye, even though dangerous winds are swirling around.
Being a witness of it all without letting it grab us by the heart and shaking us is very helpful. Being thankful for what we have - even the bare minimum - a place to say, something to eat, and freedom to love and worship God - this is wonderful!
An atttitude of gratitude and thankfulness brings instant happiness. Just typing this up I feel so much better!
