Trump denies use of a government plane for Pelosi’s trip to Brussels, Egypt and Afghanistan. Tells her that she can of course fly commercial if she wants.
President Trump on Thursday told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi he was canceling the official government jet for a trip she planned to take to Brussels, Egypt and Afghanistan, saying it would be wrong for her to go while the government is shut down.
“In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate,” he wrote in a letter to the California Democrat.
“I look forward to seeing you soon and even more forward to watching our open and dangerous southern border finally receive the attention, funding and security it so desperately deserves!”

If the President really had the countries best interest at heart then he would have let that plane leave. He then should have cancelled Pelosi’s return trip home from Afghanistan.
It says they were going to meet with nato leaders, troops to get updated on intelligence information and to show support for our troops. Stopover in Brussels was for Pilot rest.
Actually the Constitution gives him the authority to adjourn Congress which might not be a bad idea.

Very good points. All I need to do to gauge the Trump effectiveness, is see if my Trump hating friends are enraged on Facebook. This gauge has near 100 % accuracy. And what they are blaming Trump for, is what he just proved they are.
Attention foriegn diplomats, be very cautious if Pelosi visits you, shakes your hand and praises your work.
