Migrant mothers can teach Western women “to be both a feminine woman and to be mothers,” because of their unique experience of motherhood, a Vatican official said this weekend.
Gabriella Gambino, one of the highest-ranking women in the Vatican Curia, said that mothers in Western countries often have difficulty being both “woman and mother,” while migrant mothers more easily integrate these different dimensions.
Migrant women “are a bit of a prototype of a motherhood completely different, a motherhood lived in its essence, in the feminine dimension,” Gambino said at a November 9 book presentation in Rome.

Ms. Gambino, who is a mother of five and undersecretary for the “life” section of the Vatican department for Laity, Family, and Life, said that that women migrants “are those who, especially from African countries, live with violence but who can offer the world their motherhood, they are women who truly know how to live motherhood as having, not doing.”
This essential grasp of motherhood is more difficult in the West, Gambino said, because of a post-modern feminist emphasis on independence and productivity.

Look, I detest this Pope and think this is particularly inane and offensive, but do you really believe what is going on with the current Pope is an effort to build up the Catholic Church financially (or any other way)? Pope Francis does not believe in the Catholic faith, despises true Catholics, and is intentionally wrecking the Church. If your take on anything he does is that he is doing it to enrich the Catholic Church, you are misreading him.

I’m going to go out on a limb and give qualified agreement to to this statement - with the qualifications being:
1. those women needing to be taught are of the 3rd wave feminist, man-hating persuasion (iow, leftists).
2. the women doing the “teaching” come from a non-Muslim based cultures.
But that would not be what the Pope was thinking of.

The Pope was elected by the Catholic Crats and the Cardinals knew what they were getting when they voted for him. If most of the immigrants from Latin America are Catholic Communist and the Catholic Church wants more of them at Mass in the USA then it stands to reason that the Vatican would place Pope Che in charge. I read the article. She did not distinguish between Muslim, Animist, or Christian Africans. The majority of non Christian Africans are Muslim. Christian Africans do not exhibit the same characteristics as Muslim Africans, especially pertaining to women. The Africans invading Europe are predominantly Muslim. The article described Muslim cultural feminism, not Christian and not particularly Animistic.
