Of course we aren't dogs and some of us, instead, after enough of this just want to ring the next prog's neck so that we don't have to listen to it all anymore, so that the constant jangle and discomfort from the cognitive dissonance stops - so that OUR heads stop hurting from the constant noise the refrain that this does not compute, does not make sense.
The problem is that you cannot disconnect the brain from reality entirely. You have to eat, and there is a some minimal level of cognition required whether your meal comes from a teat or you have to do the computation that you need to go to the store to buy food because the freezer is empty of microwavable meals, or even just the reality of opening the freezer, unwrapping a packet, putting it in the microwave for 2 minutes 30 seconds, putting it on a plate, not eating it while it is steaming hot, etc.
Once you have the cognition required to execute those thought patterns, other inconsistencies with reality will cause the brain to jangle.
Unless you are a prog political commentator who has discovered that meals at swank restaurants come from jumbling the right nonsense words together in a statement combining Trump, violence, racism, and right wing hate speech.
There is another self-preserving response to such nonsense, however. When things stop making sense, when they become too painful, the brain is conditioned to turn it off and tune it out.
Haven’t you gotten the word? All Republican Presidents are either morons or, when they clearly aren’t, are EVIL.
All Democrat Presidents - and their wives - are so smart that they are on the verge of winning simultaneous Nobel Prizes in every category, and on top of that are also candidates for sainthood.
Just ask the Dems and their water-carriers in the media, they’ll tell you.

There wouldn't be those either. Some improved evolved form of human political animal that has a spine, can think for itself and isn't totally venal, lazy and corrupt. Maybe even has some loyalty to the People of the country that supports and protects him.
